How Palmystique Works

Palmystique is a palm reader in the spirit of an old grimoire. You trace the lines of your own hand on a vintage chart, and the app writes a reading from what you drew. This page walks through the app, the static pages around it, and what to expect from a sitting.

What Palmystique is

Palmistry has always depended on looking closely at the hand. Palmystique asks you to do the looking yourself. Instead of uploading a picture, you place and bend lines on a stylized chart until it matches your palm. The app then measures those lines and turns the measurements into prose, using the traditional meanings described in our Palmist's Guide.

Tradition holds that the heart, head, and life lines speak to feeling, thought, and vitality, while the fate line and the mounts add finer shade. Palmystique does not claim to prove any of that scientifically. It offers a structured way to notice your own hand and sit with what palmists have read there for centuries—for entertainment and self-reflection, not as counsel about your life.

After a reading you can save the palm, revisit it later, and continue the conversation with the Chiromancer, an AI character cast as an old-world reader. The glossary defines terms you meet in a sitting, and the FAQ answers practical questions about accounts, tiers, and support.

Two parts of the site

Palmystique is really two kinds of experience on one domain.

The interactive palm reader lives at the home page. That experience is a Flutter web app. It loads the hand chart, lets you trace and adjust lines, generates your reading, opens the Chamber, and stores saved palms. Personalized readings and Chiromancer conversation run inside that app and need JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Everything else—including this page, the guide, the glossary, the FAQ, About, and Privacy Policy—is built as static HTML. You can read those chapters without running the app. They explain the tradition and how Palmystique fits it; they do not replace tracing your own chart if you want a reading written from your lines.

Tracing your own lines

When you open the reader, you see a vintage hand chart. You place and shape the heart, head, and life lines, and the fate line if you have one, to match your own palm. Tap a line to select it. It flushes crimson and small glowing markers appear along its course. Drag those markers to bend the line to your palm's true shape. You can adjust each line until the chart resembles your hand, then choose Reveal Reading when you are ready.

No photo of your hand is needed or taken. Palmystique never scans or photographs your hand. What you submit is a tracing: a set of coordinates on the chart, not a photograph.

From that tracing the app measures each line—its length, where it begins and ends, how it curves, where it crosses the others, and which mounts it touches. Those measurements are matched against the traditional meanings in the guide. An AI writer then turns them into a reading in plain language. The geometry comes first, so the text describes the hand you actually drew rather than a generic horoscope. If you are new to the symbols, start with how to read your palm before your first sitting.

Novice and Master readings

Palmystique offers two depths of initial reading, named Novice and Master after the tiers in the app.

A Novice reading is a shorter sitting focused on the three major lines most palmists begin with: the heart line, the head line, and the life line. It introduces how those lines are read on your chart—length, curve, starting point, and crossings—without trying to cover every mount and minor mark in one pass.

A Master reading is a fuller sitting on the same tracing. It still honors the heart, head, and life lines, but it weaves in the fate line when you have drawn one, and it spends more time on nuance: how lines relate to each other, which mounts they touch, and the layered way tradition reads a complete palm. Think of Novice as a clear first portrait and Master as a longer study of the same hand.

The Novice Chamber and Master Chamber follow the same split: Novice follow-ups stay with the heart, head, and life lines and do not take up the fate line the way a Master sitting can. Master conversation can go deeper on the full tracing and on details you describe over time. For how tiers differ in the app, what each Chamber includes, and other practical details, see the FAQ.

The Chamber

A reading is a snapshot. The Chamber is where the conversation continues. After your reading appears, you can ask follow-up questions of the Chiromancer—an AI character who answers in the voice of a seasoned reader, still grounded in the lines you traced and the text you already received.

You might ask what a deep curve on the head line suggests in tradition, whether two crossings change the story, or how a mount mentioned in the reading is usually read. The Chiromancer replies in character, using your palm description and earlier messages for context. It is the same entertainment frame as the reading: a mirror for reflection, not a professional advisor. Questions about your account or the app itself belong in Help and Feedback or by email, not as palm questions in the Chamber.

Saving palms

When you save a palm, Palmystique keeps the tracing and its readings so you can return without redrawing everything. Saved palms are stored in this browser's local storage. As a guest, you are identified by a guest id kept locally on this device; your saved sittings stay with this browser until you sign in.

Creating an account ties your work to an email address and lets readings sync for use on other devices. When you sign in, Palmystique merges the guest data from this browser—including saved readings—into your account. Clearing site data for palmystique.com removes local guest storage if you want a fresh start on this machine.

Privacy basics

Palmystique is operated by Bostone Consulting, based in the United States. You can use much of the app without an account; the site assigns your browser a random guest identifier so readings and settings stay with you locally. If you create an account, the personal detail we ask for is your email address, and sign-in is by a one-time link—there is no password to remember.

We do not ask for a photo of your hand. Readings are made from the lines you draw on the chart, stored as coordinates and measurements, not as a photograph of your hand. Chiromancer questions and replies are saved to serve the conversation; server copies of conversations expire thirty days after their last activity. Payments are handled by Stripe—we do not see or store your full card number. The free tier and these guide pages may show Google advertising, which uses cookies; apart from that, the app relies on your browser's local storage for guest id, preferences, and saved readings rather than tracking cookies of our own. We do not sell your personal information.

Readings and Chiromancer replies are generated with AI language models from third-party providers; our privacy policy describes what is sent to those services and what is not. For the full picture—retention, your rights, California notices, and contact emails—read the Privacy Policy.

What a reading is and is not

No advice. Palmystique is for entertainment and self-reflection only. Palmistry is a cultural tradition, not a science, and our readings describe tendencies rather than predicting events. Palmystique and its Chiromancers do not provide medical, legal, financial, psychological, relationship, or other professional advice. Do not make important decisions based on a reading or a Chiromancer reply. The app never predicts lifespan or health. Readings and Chiromancer replies are generated with the help of AI and can be imperfect.

If you want to learn the symbolism behind the lines on your chart, work through the guide at your own pace. If you want a reading written from your own tracing, open the reader, bend your lines with care, and treat the result as a story about patterns—not a verdict on what must happen next.
